Mondizzle

I got up early to finish my paper. It was STILL raining. I wasn’t exactly pleased because my laundry was still outside. It was supposed to be sunny today! I decided to move some stuff into my room. Things dry well there. I reached outside to grab some of my socks and found out that a pigeon had SHAT directly into one of them. GAH!!
I was a little late to school, but I don’t think anyone noticed because they were busy talking about how Mikaela wasn’t coming to school at all. Apparently she’s “poorly.” I found that to be questionable.
Our first lesson was on syntax. We native speakers had trouble finding the rules, but knew what the answer should be. The non-natives had studied it more and knew the rules. Our second lesson was on songs and games. I’m looking forward to this week because there are fewer normal lessons—we get to learn about things like teaching kids and business English and teaching online and on the phone—random stuff.
For lunch, we went to the microwave place, Nostrum. I had tortellini. Then we went back to school. I planned my polar bear listening exercise lesson. I think it’s a rather comical topic. I started with Pictionary of Mimi’s favorite cartoon of a bear climbing a tree and then asked if anyone had ever seen a bear. One guy said his friend had caught one and kept it in a jail. Then we listened to a story about people having an expedition in the Arctic. The students kept asking questions that perfectly led into the next topic. I forgot to go over one exercise before starting another, but we just went back to it later. For the production, I made them make up a play. They were great—one group was lost in the jungle and got kidnapped by the natives!
During Dalia's lesson some of the students looked to me to see what I thought about their questions instead of asking her. I felt bad for her, but in a way it was nice for me.
After school, I went to the Foccacceria and had one with zucchini, something, and cheese? I didn’t really know but Korea’s taught me to stuff whatever into my mouth and therefore to be adventurous with ordering. It was tasty. It didn’t matter too much exactly what it was.
I went home and worked on my bloggo. I also looked at my friends’ pictures they’ve just uploaded LOADS. I’ll upload some of them soon.

  1. I didn't know pigeons were such expert marksmen! Sounds like your class had a lot of fun with your lesson.

  2. Nice story about the bear. Glad he's not the one who attacked your sock!
